This book is designed to convey some basic concepts of translation and to provide basic training. Its goal is to increase understanding and interest in translation, to provide opportunities to share in the discussion of translation, and to develop the ability to recognize and develop differences between Korean and French through training. So in this book we're going to look at the obstacles that we have to pass through the French translation into Korean, the real problems. The examples in the book are mostly excerpts from the actual text. Some modifications were made to the translation only if necessary. Translation is basically a cultural act that links two different language systems. It's a training that requires such delicate and sophisticated knowledge of foreign languages and their mother tongue. And to form two different languages is to have two different world views. If you look closely at the use of foreign languages in translation, new features of the native language that were normally used unconsciously are coming up. The opening of the passage of understanding of foreign languages also deepens our sense of the language and is one of the incomes that we gain from translation. I hope this book will help readers who are interested in French-speaking translations.
