KyoBooks store policy
Terms of Service
Effective date: July 27, 2026
Last updated: July 27, 2026
1. Acceptance and scope
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of https://kyobooks.com (the “Site”) and purchases from KyoBooks.
By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated into them. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or place an order. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
2. Operator and business identity
KyoBooks is operated by:
SKINSLI INC
30 N Gould St Ste R
Sheridan, WY 82801
United States
Wyoming Filing ID: 2024-001553749
Email: support@kyobooks.com
KyoBooks sells books through its online storefront. Customer orders are prepared, packed and dispatched through our fulfillment partner in Seoul, South Korea.
3. Related policies
These policies form part of the Terms:
If a specific commercial promise in an order confirmation or the policy displayed when an order was placed is more favorable than the current policy, we will honor that promise for the order. Mandatory law prevails over any conflicting provision.
4. Eligibility and customer responsibilities
You must have legal capacity to enter into a purchase contract or act with authorization from a parent, guardian, business or account holder. You agree to provide accurate, complete and current billing, contact, delivery and payment information and to review the product, quantity, address, destination, price, shipping charge and policies before submitting an order.
You may not use the Site for fraud, unlawful activity, interference with Site security, infringement of another person's rights, unauthorized automated purchasing or another purpose prohibited by law.
5. Product information and availability
We make reasonable efforts to present titles, descriptions, identifiers, images, prices and availability accurately. Screen settings can affect images, and publisher-supplied information may be corrected when an error is identified.
An item displayed as In stock is available for fulfillment in South Korea and is handed to FedEx within the handling window in the Shipping Policy. If we discover a material catalog, pricing, legal, availability or product-information error before dispatch, we will contact you promptly. You may confirm the corrected order or receive a full refund for the affected item. We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.
6. Orders and acceptance
Submitting an order is a request to buy the items in the cart. An order is accepted when we issue an order confirmation, subject to payment authorization.
We may decline or cancel an order when payment cannot be authorized; required information is incomplete or materially inaccurate; the transaction presents a reasonable fraud or security risk; fulfillment would violate law, sanctions or carrier restrictions; or a manifest price, catalog or system error cannot reasonably be honored. If we cancel, we will notify you and issue a full refund for the cancelled amount to the original payment method.
We may reasonably limit quantities to prevent fraud, abuse or unauthorized automated purchasing, but we will not change an accepted order without notice.
7. Prices, payment, taxes and import charges
Prices and currency are shown on the Site and confirmed at checkout. Available payment methods are only those actually displayed for the order and market at checkout. You authorize the selected payment provider to charge the amount shown at checkout. We may use payment authorization, verification and fraud-prevention measures before dispatch.
Shipping charges and taxes collected by KyoBooks, if any, are shown before order submission. Unless checkout expressly says otherwise, prices and KyoBooks shipping charges do not include destination-country import duties, import VAT, customs charges or customs/brokerage fees. The destination customs authority or FedEx may assess and bill those amounts directly to you. You are responsible for paying them; they are not an additional invoice issued by KyoBooks.
8. Fulfillment, shipping and delivery
Every customer parcel departs from our fulfillment operation in Seoul, South Korea. Orders ship through FedEx only, are tracked and receive a tracking number separately after dispatch.
For products shown as In stock, carrier handoff occurs within 0–1 business day, Monday through Saturday, using a 2:00 PM Pacific Time cutoff. The estimated total from order placement through delivery is 6–9 business days. These estimates are not guaranteed maximums. Customs, destination conditions, weather, carrier disruption, remote-area service and events outside reasonable control may affect delivery.
Shipping costs are USD $49 below a qualifying USD $300 order subtotal and free at or above USD $300, as shown at checkout. See the Shipping Policy for details.
9. Cancellation
You may request a full cancellation and refund only before the parcel is handed to FedEx. Email support@kyobooks.com as soon as possible. Eligibility depends on carrier handoff, not the age of the order. After handoff, the order cannot be cancelled and the Return and Refund Policy applies after delivery.
10. Returns, refunds and seller-fault claims
For new orders, a return request must generally be made within 30 calendar days after actual delivery. Any order placed under an earlier displayed 60-day promise retains that promise.
Buyer-remorse returns must generally be new, unread, complete and resaleable. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected, including lawful EU, EEA and UK inspection rights. For a voluntary buyer-remorse return, email support@kyobooks.com for authorization and the applicable Korean return address. A statutory withdrawal notice is effective when sent and does not depend on prior approval; contact us for the return instructions and applicable address before dispatching the parcel.
For buyer remorse, the customer pays tracked return shipping, no restocking fee is charged, and original outbound shipping is not refunded except where mandatory law requires it. A free-shipping order receives no hidden outbound-cost deduction.
For a wrong, damaged, defective or materially not-as-described book, KyoBooks pays the reasonable return cost where a return is needed and provides the remedy required by law. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days after the returned book is received and approved. We do not offer direct exchanges. See the Return and Refund Policy for full details.
11. Intellectual property
The Site's original layout, software, text, graphics and KyoBooks-created content are owned by or licensed to SKINSLI INC and protected by applicable law. Book covers, publisher descriptions, author names, titles, trademarks and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective rights holders.
You may use the Site for personal, lawful shopping. You may not copy, scrape, reproduce, republish, sell, exploit or interfere with Site content or systems except where law permits or we give written authorization.
12. Third-party services and links
Shopify powers the Site and checkout. Payment, delivery and other parts of an order may involve the provider selected at checkout, FedEx or another provider needed to perform the transaction. Their terms and privacy notices may apply to services they provide directly. A third-party link does not reduce our responsibility for our own obligations or for a provider acting on our behalf where law makes us responsible.
13. Service and legal warranties
We aim to keep the Site available, accurate and secure, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed. We may maintain the Site and correct errors as reasonably necessary.
Products remain subject to all warranties, consumer guarantees, conformity rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. No statement about Site availability excludes mandatory rights concerning goods purchased from us.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SKINSLI INC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising solely from use of, or inability to access, the Site where those losses were not reasonably foreseeable.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable, or mandatory consumer rights and product remedies.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections or access to a court or dispute process provided by the law of their country or state of residence.
Before starting a formal dispute, we encourage you to email support@kyobooks.com so we can try to resolve it. This does not shorten a limitation period or require waiver of a legal remedy.
16. Changes, severability and no waiver
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, services or business practices. The revised version will be posted at https://kyobooks.com/policies/terms-of-service with an updated date. The Terms and policies presented when an order is placed continue to govern that order unless a later change is required by law or is more favorable to you.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent or removed while the remaining provisions continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.
