*Introduction to Early Childhood Education* is a course that provides an overview and introduction to the general field of early childhood education. Therefore, it is composed of core content necessary for understanding early childhood education. The course begins by examining the importance, necessity, and uniqueness of early childhood education, its concepts, the developmental process of young children, and the roles of play and creativity in early childhood education. Next, it explores the history of early childhood education, a curriculum appropriate for development, teaching and learning methods, education for teachers and parents, and the operation and management of early childhood education institutions. Finally, in line with current trends, it covers early childhood education policies and future directions, such as multicultural education, integrated education for young children and special needs, and early childhood-elementary linkage education. *Introduction to Early Childhood Education* aims to provide a general overview of early childhood education, and its specific objectives are as follows: - Through this course, students will correctly recognize the uniqueness, importance, and concepts of early childhood education and develop an understanding of and interest in young children, who are the subjects of early childhood education. - To understand the various specialized areas of early childhood education, including its development process, curriculum, and teaching and learning methods; the cultivation of qualities and professionalism as an early childhood teacher; and parent education and operational management in early childhood education institutions. - To foster an awareness of early childhood education policies and development directions, and to provide a perspective on the future of early childhood education.
