Moon Byung-ki: Modern Politics and Public Administration (2nd semester of 2026, workbook included)
The following is what the author set out in this book:. First, develop a basic level of understanding of politics by directing the basic concepts and theories of political science, the main knowledge system of political phenomena for the students. Second, by presenting to the students the direct and indirect connection and interaction of politics and administration and by neutralizing what it means, they develop the ability to interpret the political and the administrative implications and make their own decisions. Third, through this culture of Korean political or administrative reality and development insights and cognitive coordinates, the ability to criticize power and to build solid soil for democratic development and progress in human reasoning. The textbook re-integrated 15 chapters into five sections so that the students could understand the big flow of the lecture a little bit easier. In other words, by completing chapter 1 and chapter 2 as a ‘station’ in the whole'modern politics and administration' class, we can take into account the meaning of politics, administration and policy, political theory and administrative theory of humanity. And by placing chapters 3 through 8, and then ‘the basics of politics’ in Part 2, we explore the relationship between politics and motion as a central concept of political science. Then, by grouping from chapter 9 to chapter 12 to section 3 ‘political Procession’, it explains what dynamic activity will create political and administrative interactions among the main actors in the cycle of a political system.
