This workbook lets students practice thinking skills with problems that differ from those in regular school workbooks. It explains solution methods step by step, which helps students learn problem-solving strategies. It seems like a good book for advanced practice after learning the school curriculum concepts to some extent. It also provides explanations through the QR code on each page, and we have been watching them.
If you carefully follow along with Teacher Cheon Jong-hyun’s explanations, you really can solve the problems. I used to think advanced problems were vaguely difficult, but this makes them easier to approach.
I wanted my child to try some slightly advanced problems beyond basic operations and application problems, but thought it might still be too difficult, so I bought this. It’s good for considering things from different angles and thinking them through.
I bought it at a good price, and I’m satisfied.
We finished the first semester of third grade over vacation and ordered the second semester. It’s the best, with clear explanations for an advanced workbook.
My child really dislikes math and has a hard time solving problems, so we had only been doing the basics in our schoolworkbooks. I wanted to broaden their thinking a little and try some advanced problem types, but it wasn’t easy, so I chose this workbook. As we worked through it together, I found that it focuses on exactly the parts children need and the parts where they get stuck, and explains them clearly so they can understand easily. It seems to help them study independently. I think it
A workbook for learning Teacher Cheon Jong-hyun’s way of thinking, not just for solving problems! Children really need to work through advanced problems, but the explanations in answer keys are brief, which makes them difficult for both moms and children. My child had trouble after trying just one problem, and there was no review either. Ttapul helped a lot because it includes extra materials and explanatory videos. It is a book for learning advanced problems by understanding and thinking
This is a workbook my children work on consistently. It is systematic, and unlike other workbooks, if they don’t understand something, they can ask questions through the online community and study with videos, which is really great.
Ttapul Math explains advanced problems in an easy-to-understand way and lets children practice by repeatedly solving similar types. It helps us pinpoint the types my child often gets wrong, so we plan to keep using it next year as well.
This workbook is an intermediate step from Didimdol Wonri–Basic Application to Choe Sang-wi. It has problem formats that feel different from what we have seen before, and I think it does a great job as a bridge to Choe Sang-wi Math.
Cheon Jong-hyeon: Elementary Math 3-2 (Upper) That Can Be Solved by Following Along
What kind of workbook is Ttapul? It organizes methods for solving challenging problems into steps, so students can learn by following those methods and practice advanced problems of similar types. Existing advanced workbooks simply cover difficult problems, and their explanations of how to solve them may be lacking or have logical leaps. Ttapul teaches methods for solving difficult problems step by step, ultimately helping students solve advanced problems on their own. We recommend Ttapul for these students: those who know the basic concepts and principles covered in school math but find advanced problems difficult, and those who want to tackle advanced problems while using an application workbook or one that covers both basic and application concepts.
