I bought this because I enjoyed the drama. Although the school days that were the main focus of the drama appeared only occasionally, it was still fun.
I bought this because I really enjoyed the drama, but personally, I'm disappointed. First of all, the drama focuses heavily on their school days, whereas the novel starts right after they broke up, and their school days are just briefly mentioned as "that's how it was back then." Also, while I understood it because I watched the drama, if you are reading the novel for the first time, you won't be able to grasp the emotional arcs of Jiang Chen or Chen Xiaoxi, and the writing is difficult to
As I read, the scenes came vividly back to mind, and I liked that there were some differences from the drama.
As soon as I received this book, I read it straight from my seat without moving. I started reading it out of curiosity, wondering if it might be different from the novel after watching the drama *A Love So Beautiful*. The structure and character arrangement were slightly different from the drama, so I was a bit taken aback at first. Since I belong to the video generation, I naturally felt more comfortable with the visuals. However, there is a different kind of pleasure that a novel offers. I
I feel so good, haha. It makes you laugh, and I highly recommend this school-themed story that feels different from the old internet novels.
It is my absolute favorite and most cherished drama. It makes me feel excited, as if I’ve become Chen Xiaoxi myself, and brings back so many fond memories even though I haven't even started high school yet. I was even happier when it was released as a book. The book provides deeper insights into details I missed in the drama, and discovering these behind-the-scenes stories was so much fun and made me feel so thrilled. I highly recommend reading this book after watching the drama; it will make
Jiang Chen and Chen Xiaoxi look so good together ㅠㅠ Chen Xiaoxi looks really cute. Jiang Chen is cool too..
This is my first Chinese drama and the drama of my life. They said that unlike the original, the drama mainly focused on school days, and indeed, the original novel was quite different from the drama. The point is that both the drama and the novel are incredibly entertaining in their own right. If the drama was full of the refreshing and innocent vibe of first love, the novel feels more like an adult romance. I enjoyed the novelist's witty yet heart-fluttering descriptions of scenes and
Zhao Chenchen: A Love So Beautiful 1
Volume 1 of the novel *A Love So Beautiful* captures a lifelong love that cannot be severed—a fresh, sweet, yet sometimes bitter first love. This work by Zhao Chenchen, a popular author garnering attention in China, has also gained popularity after being adapted into a drama. It is a record of the unwavering unrequited love between Chen Xiaoxi and Jiang Chen, who formed a bond as neighbors across the street before entering elementary school and continued through middle school, high school, college, and into adulthood. It is also the love story of a couple who weave their first love, become lovers, and repeatedly meet and break up. Chen Xiaoxi is an eccentric and innocent, straightforward woman who falls for the cool-headed number one most popular guy in school, Jiang Chen, and voluntarily walks down a path of hardship. Although there are no sensational elements like chaebols or secrets of birth, nor any over-the-top melodrama, Chen Xiaoxi's steadfast love and the romance between her and Jiang Chen bring a smile to your face and make your heart flutter. It received great love for capturing the emotions and memories of love that everyone has experienced or is likely to experience at least once—such as the excitement of starting a relationship, the reasons for a breakup that are barely remembered now and may seem insignificant in retrospect, and the maddening longing after parting ways—evoking empathy from readers.
