Description

Using only Rust, this book builds web servers, RESTful services, server-rendered apps, and client-side front ends. You'll learn to write code with a small, predictable resource footprint and build high-performance applications with outstanding safety and reliability. Throughout the book, you'll create a full-stack Rust online learning platform for instructors. Starting with the basics of building a simple HTTP server and RESTful web service, you'll add security, database interactions, and error handling to make it production-ready. Finally, you'll implement services, build a SPA, and explore asynchronous programming.

Rust programming for full-stack web development: Rust Servers, Services, and Apps. Written by Prabhu Eshwara, translated by Moses Kim, and published by JPub in 2024, this book explains how to use Rust to develop backend servers, services, and front ends that are fast, reliable, and maintainable. Rust combines the safety of a low-level language with excellent performance, making high-performance networking possible. The book draws on these strengths to show, step by step, how to build web

As I develop with Go, I often come across comparisons between Go and Rust, and that naturally sparked my interest in Rust. I had not yet seriously used the language beyond following tutorials, but I won a review event for Rust Servers, Services, and Apps from JPub, so here is my review. The book has three parts: Part 1, Web Servers and Web Services; Part 2, Server-Side Web Applications; and Part 3, Advanced Topics: Asynchronous Rust. Part 1 begins by making the case for Rust in web

This book teaches you to build real services with Rust, a language developers are especially eager to learn. I do find it hard to recommend to people who are just starting with Rust, but I don't think there's a better book for pushing past your limits. It isn't extremely easy, but it isn't extremely difficult either. It clearly lays out the step-by-step process of building servers and web services, so I think you can get a real taste of Rust from this book if you're motivated.

I became interested in Rust and was following the tutorials on its official website when I won a book-review event for Rust Servers, Services, and Apps, published by JPub. Reading the book before writing this review, I think it would help to look over Rust syntax through the official site or other resources first. Rust is a language known for performance, concurrency, and memory safety, and it has attracted attention alongside Go. The book teaches Rust's many strengths through web projects that

Rust Servers, Services, and Apps contains a great deal about excellent web development with Rust. It explains Rust's strengths and suggests that they can make the language a powerful contender alongside other languages and frameworks for building web services and applications. After explaining how to build modern web applications in Rust, it gives readers hands-on experience developing an application with Actix, a popular Rust web framework. It goes beyond a basic introduction by covering
