Description

Rust is a safe, fast, and productive language for systems programming. It is also the language developers most want to learn. This book helps you build a web application from start to finish by following along in Rust. You begin by implementing the application's basic structure, then gradually improve the code using Rust's features and strengths. It covers everything needed to expose an API, connect a database and store data, test the application, and deploy it, with plenty on routing, middleware, databases, and asynchronous tasks. Beyond hands-on exercises, it shows situations and trial and error encountered during development, offering solutions that make use of Rust's strengths. Readers can understand those solutions, apply them to their own projects, and gain a deeper understanding of Rust.

I hope this book helps readers explore how web pages, web programming, and web development differ and overlap, and why Rust can be used for web development. Looking at recent trends in web development tools, languages and tools such as Rust and Spring keep appearing, even though they were once unfamiliar and hard to discover. Python used to be the first language that came to mind when people talked about programming, but as programming has become more varied, other languages are gradually

I've worked in web development, starting as a full-stack developer with broad but shallow knowledge. These days I focus more on frontend, while continuing to learn both backend and frontend. Developers can fall behind if they rely on only one language, and new, rapidly rising languages keep appearing, so there is no reason to cling to legacy technology. Rust is popular for its speed, security, memory safety, and runtime performance, but I hesitated to study it because people say it has a steep

When I first learned computers, created an email account, and studied programming, the first language I learned was DOS-based Turbo C/C++. Since it was a systems programming language, I learned about the stack unique to C and C++ and the principles of allocating and freeing memory. I still understand coding principles and routines. Rust also follows some structures similar to C and C++, so it is useful for starting, maintaining, and building applications, and is designed to help with debugging

I kept seeing the word Rust in books lately and became curious. I've also been reading various IT books to improve my skills, and web development has been an ongoing customer requirement, so I thought it would be good to look at Rust Web Development. Since I already know a few languages, learning another one feels a little easier, and this book seems suitable for people like me who want to learn a new language. The introduction to Rust made me want to know more. I heard it's a systems
