Description

The American city, which is considered a city, is an attempt to understand the history and society of the major cities of the United States in modern times. Why is it important to understand history through cities? Cities are a place of change and of change with time, a place that creates human life. So it's significant to look at the American history through what history it was that cities were formed and how the history of each city intersects the history and the history in the United States. The eight cities that are discussed in books reveal different characteristics of different times, small by little, different by the time they form cities and the time of development. Philadelphia, for example, shows the change in the last days and the new social problems, the change of Asian immigrants and urban spaces, the rise of the big cities of New York as the hub of global trade and finance. This is a valid approach to the American narratives that, due to extensive territorial differences and regional differences, makes national history difficult.

It's not a book that talks about something very new or gives you an instant. It was like a crazy Coke, already reading a split-off empire or an American walks.

It was nice to be able to understand the history of America more with a more interesting understanding of the city. What comes to mind most of all when I read this book is the fact that European immigrants who were protesting against discrimination against immigrants discriminated against Asian and Latin-American immigrants, blacks and women.

It presents a clean description of the social problems and the colors of major cities that have occurred in the American urban process.

This is a new history book that has been deeply resolved about the famous cities of America in the summer of 1919, what happened in hot Chicago, how Hollywood and Disneyland could be built in the desert in Los Angeles. The problems of racism and the rich and poor are more vividly evident from a more direct perspective.
