I repurchased it to give as a gift.
I bought this because I am interested in documentaries and Tibetan Buddhism, but it is a difficult book. It is hard to understand, but I will try to read it slowly.
This is the best book. As an Étiage science major, I used to ignore conspiracy theories, spiritual stories, and books, but as I became interested in the state of the world and the universe these days, I ended up reading this book. It is a book that brings about reflection and enlightenment regarding life and death, and truly makes you think a lot. I wish I had read it when I was younger, but I am glad I read it now. I highly recommend it.
My mother contracted COVID-19 after May 8th, and as her immune system weakened, she became infected with bacteria all over her body. I think it's great that I can get a discount and also receive this book I liked from the bookstore. The Tibetan Book of the Dead is intriguing because it is a field I am interested in. I am reading this while realizing that death is not the end—that I begin anew in another body with the karma I accumulated over the past 49 days. I feel that one must be happy in life to be happy in death. I don't know why, but I burst into tears right at the beginning of the scripture and ended up sobbing uncontrollably.
I went to a meditation exhibition at Namsan Picnic and bought this book out of curiosity after seeing excerpts from The Tibetan Book of the Dead written on the wall. I found the beginning interesting, but the downside is that I can't make much progress because the book is simply too difficult.
It seems like it will be a time to think deeply about death.

Therefore, by freeing oneself from all the illusions and temptations based on the microcosmic mind and by knowing one's own mind in a "naked" state, one can reach the self beyond the self. Above all, the excellence of this book lies in its clear explanation of the Buddhist worldview: that once one reaches the state of enlightenment known as the One Mind, all the states we see, hear, and experience are illusions, nothing more than mirages of the cycle of rebirth. Readers will come to realize that the knowledge we have previously considered accurate is not knowledge of reality, but knowledge of ever-changing and ephemeral illusions. These do not possess substance but are merely shadows of fantasy cast by our unconscious world. Furthermore, life and death are our illusions; appearances, colors, and even our minds are part of a world of insubstantial illusion. The truth this book awakens us to is precisely that we must quickly realize this world of illusion.
