This book is a translation of the Bible as of Murray Stein, author of Map of the Soul. The book was originally published in February 1989, by author Johnston at the Catholic seminary in Yuanston, Illinois, “that same summer in Huntdelin. Murray Stein is not only a rug-doc analyst but also a Protestant minister who, based on his knowledge of analytical psychology, the Bible and theology, reads the entire Old Testament as a mental development, or personalityization process, of one person. The Bible's myth of creation, the conflict between Cain and Abel, the strife between Joseph and his brothers, the adultery between David and Bath-sheba, is to interpret them all with one man's dream, thinking of his dreams, including the birth of Jesus, the execution of his cross, and the resurrection. In that sense, the New Old Testament says that a person's ego comes out of collective unconscious, suffers from shadow, is drawn into the problem of Anima/Animos, and eventually becomes mentally developed. The view of Murray Stein is quite interesting, convincing and surprising in his wisdom to see it that way.
