Part 1, "For School Change," consists of five chapters and covers Jeju-style autonomous schools and the Free Semester System, which are key external environmental factors that have driven school change in Jeju. Jeju-style autonomous schools can be classified into Stage 1 "i-Good Schools" and Stage 2 "Da-Di-Baeum Schools." i-Good Schools are a unique type of autonomous school that emerged based on the high level of educational authority granted by the Jeju Special Act, while Da-Di-Baeum Schools are Jeju-style innovation schools. Part 2, "For Desirable Educational Support," consists of four chapters. It examines the roles and functions of local educational administrative agencies in inducing or supporting school change from the perspectives of "organizational culture," "educational governance," and "school consulting." These three aspects are also core methodologies for effectively operating schools.
