L. M. Johnson Backby: Hobbes' Invitation to Leviathan

*An Invitation to Hobbes’s Leviathan*, a book introducing the representative work *Leviathan* by the 17th-century English philosopher Thomas Hobbes, has been published by Seogwangsa, a publisher specializing in philosophy books. This book is a translation of *Hobbes’s Leviathan* (2007), one of the volumes in the "Reader’s Guides" series by Continuum Publishers in the UK, with the translation undertaken by Professor Kim Yong-hwan of the Department of Philosophy at Hannam University. The author, L.M. Johnson Backby, refrains from hastily interpreting or evaluating *Leviathan*, instead guiding readers into Hobbes’s literary world through quotations from the original text. It will serve as a friendly guide for those encountering *Leviathan* for the first time.
