The foundation of psychoanalysis (second edition) has been trying to reflect the changes in DSM-5-TR and ICD-11, as well as the changes that have been made in the field of psychology over the last decade or so. The second edition also wanted to adopt the name of a number of mental disorders as the most widely used in clinical situations. Schizophrenia, for example, has been replaced by the term ‘ manic disorder ’ and has also been used in terms of sexual dysfunction, sadism, physical dysmorphic disorder, selective osmosis and artificial satellite disorders.
