Korea Road Traffic Authority Traffic Science Research Institute et al.: Comparison of Domestic and International Driver's License Examination Systems

Recently, the high-tech driver support system has been spreading and technology is still changing, including the new forms of transportation that have never been done before, such as micro-cars and personal transport, and the safety rate of 5030, the stiffer traffic violations and the increased flow of drivers, including traffic violations, and other drivers, as well as the increased awareness and the risk of protection of pedestrians. Drivers ’ license systems and license procedures have been constantly changing with the demands of technology, environmental change and policy direction and demand for citizens, and these changes are a prospect that will continue. Especially considering the growing scope of driving licenses between our countries and foreign countries, it is time to try to figure out how to improve our country's driver's license system, especially the driver'S license, through international standards or trend analysis of the driving process. The study then analyzes driving licenses and procedures for major developed countries to compare with the current system in our country, and suggests that future improvements in our system are made.
