Kim Myung-ju: Post-English Literature
The ultimate question of meaning is that humanities are here and there, in the heat of the wind, but as a college major, which has to guarantee a living business, humanities must be being blown by cold winds. The cold spirit of human literature has been raging in English literature for years. I claim that if English literature is uniquely capable of training in a way that differs from other people's and academics, it is the capacity to analyze text, to produce text based on analysis. It's the ability to understand and analyze other texts by training the analytical capacity through the most densely packed text, literature. This ability can be a warm, cold-y garment. I also proposed a complex post-anciology. Humanities are the science of exploring humans, and human conceptions are changing. The urgent environmental crisis and the advances in technology are asking for new theories of existence and perception about man and nature and the world. Although we have long been intuitively aware that humans, nonhumans, organisms and minerals, all depend on and co-existent, we now demonstrate it materially through the fusion of science, medicine and engineering. Real interpretation comes from absence. Post-Expercise analysis of English literature will be able to create a new kind of gap in the rug-and-community collaboration that still exists.
