Description

People are social animals: we exist as individuals, but we cannot live alone. However comfortable solitude may seem, being human means forming relationships and talking with others. Relationships are a lifelong challenge, perhaps life's most difficult puzzle, one that always seems almost solvable. Cho Yu-mi, the “woman who reads people's stories,” has met 1.5 million subscribers through various channels and heard countless stories. She realized that the worries disrupting our inner lives often stem from the relationships around us. She gathered her insights into a book for people troubled by relationships at work, at home, and even online. Her earlier books, More Understood Words, Fewer Misunderstood Words and I Like Myself Just as I Am, shared ways to protect and love yourself. This time she focuses on relationships and conversation, drawing readers in with relatable situations. She divides relationships into five broad groups and presents realistic conversations about their problems, along with clear solutions. It is an encyclopedia of relationships covering coworkers, family and relatives, friends and acquaintances, romantic partners and spouses, and online interactions—almost every kind. The book may help readers find answers about what to say and do in uncomfortable situations across different relationships. Read it to protect yourself from relationship stress and enjoy easier conversations and relationships than yesterday.

Conversation can strengthen relationships between people, and it can also make them fight or feel like strangers. What should I bring up in this situation? What should I say in that one? There may be no single “right answer,” but I think there are conversations people can generally try. This book organizes them according to the relationship: A Proper and Quick Conversation Guide for Almost Every Relationship. It includes ways to handle 122 situations involving coworkers, family, friends,

This book seems to offer conversation solutions for everyone, but I felt it especially targets younger readers. It presents many situations suited to people just starting their careers, young adults about to become or newly independent, people in their twenties facing many choices and new experiences, and couples who are dating or newly married. Perhaps people in those age groups ask for more advice because as we get older, we become used to situations and develop our own ways of handling

The hardest thing is relationships between people. This book divides them into work, family, friends, acquaintances, romantic partners, spouses, and online interactions, then offers situations and solutions for each. As I read, I thought of people around me and things that had happened with them. I took to heart the idea that expecting less from what may happen can mean being hurt less. Thank you.

These are conversation solutions for almost every relationship, including work, family, friends, romantic partners, spouses, and online interactions. The examples were much more detailed and relatable than I expected, so I was drawn in. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wonders, “Am I bad at conversation? Are my words making relationships difficult for me?” It seems practical and useful in many ways!
