As the field of water and wastewater management deals with water, I believe that those of us studying this discipline must also emulate the nature of water. Sometimes it ascends to the heavens (Heavenly Water), sometimes it crawls across the earth (Surface Water), and sometimes it hides underground (Underground Water); it circulates through valleys, streams, and the sea, sustaining life everywhere. Let us, as students of water and wastewater management, aspire to live in this manner as well. Let us become professionals who share life with all of nature and bring happiness to all humanity. Although there is much talk about the 21st century and what kind of era it is, the most important thing, which remains unchanged regardless of the passage of time, is that we cannot live a single day without water. In the past, water was commonplace, but its value is becoming increasingly precious. It is clear that in the coming era, water will become the highest value. A nation that manages water well will become an excellent nation, and a country that prevents water-related disasters through proper sewage management (Water Control) and secures excellent water resources through effective water source management (Water Conservation) will become a top-tier nation.
