Although it was published a long time ago, this book is valuable enough to still be used as a textbook. It is easy to understand and progresses step-by-step. It also includes quite a few performance pieces, which inspires a desire to practice.
This is a very useful book for absolute beginners in the flute! It serves as a guide to help you learn step by step.
I'm learning the flute for the first time, and there are lots of great tips for beginners. There are also many good songs... but most of all, I was surprised that the fingerings are arranged in order of ease for beginners!
When I first started playing the flute without any books, I felt completely lost, but someone I know recommended this book. Since I don't really have much interest in music, I found it difficult to read notes and scale names, but I am learning well without that kind of pressure.
