Description

A book that has been prepared with a breath for Buddhist architects has never been published in the country. There are several books on the construction of Buddhism at a time when some famous temples are limited, or there is relatively little material left, but it is hard to believe that there is no book through which we can address the private architecture of the period, as in the history of Buddhist architecture in the Chosun era. Our architect is in a relationship that must be separated from the construction of Buddhism. So the fact that Buddhist architects have never been properly organized means that our own architects have not been properly sorted. In that sense, this book, the history of the Buddhist architecture of the Chosun era, has a great meaning. The author published this book about the entire Korean Buddhist architect, over a decade after he wrote his Ph.D. on the nature and meaning of post-election Buddhist architecture. The author who participated in the national survey of traditional temples, who was part of the Ministry of Building Committees in Seoul City, who engaged in various investigations involving the restoration of the Golden Mountain Divine Service, and who had been involved in the current work on traditional architecture, is responsible for organizing Buddhist architecture in our country, especially in the shipship era. The era of the Chosun is generally known as the 'infinite society', but rather it was a time when Buddhism could grow into a true religion, and it was associated with the birth of a new self in our country, and we saw it reflected in its construction. The book has been dividing the history of Buddhist architecture from the 15th to the 19th century into a time-consuming and helping us understand photography and illustrations.
