I feel like something is missing. This might be due to my own misconceptions about gardens, or perhaps because I am fixated on the detailed distinction between container gardens and individual pots. If the etymology of the word "garden" originally refers to an area within a beautifully constructed fence, then perhaps the term "container garden" should have been approached as a "container capable of creating a garden," rather than simply having a few containers or a standalone structure.
