The Japanese landowners have a large share in the history of this town. The role of the Japanese is not to be sealed and buried in the history of the town because it was leading and active. It's hard to agree that proud history is worth writing, and community history should be always proud of it, at least proud of its interpretation and evaluation. To remember or record the past selectively is to block a proper understanding of the age. History's distortions start right from that point. Basically, history is about revealing what happened in the past. What we're going to learn from history is next.
