Description

Most systems in the world are structured around servers. Whether it is a POS system in a convenience store or supermarket, or a production management system in a factory, any system requires a server to perform a role of a certain scale. This book introduces a wide range of information related to servers, targeting those who wish to build basic knowledge of servers and systems, as well as those currently working in or likely to work in information systems. It explains servers from various perspectives—covering their basics, roles by type, hardware, and applications or business systems—and comprehensively covers security, disaster management, operation, implementation, and cost aspects. Furthermore, it introduces the latest technological trends related to servers, such as virtualization, cloud computing, big data, and IoT. Servers can be grasped at a glance through easy explanations and simple diagrams, and the practice sections at the end of each chapter allow readers to put what they have learned into practice and apply it.

If you bought this expecting to learn easily through pictures as the title suggests, you are greatly mistaken... There are very few illustrations, and even those are useless... 99% is text explanation... A book of absolutely no help to beginners...

Consequently, multiple digital devices

This book provides a very easy and useful summary of client-server architecture, complete with illustrations. Although the author is Japanese, I also appreciate the translator's thoughtfulness in adapting parts of the text to suit the Korean context. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs basic server knowledge.
