The main stem of the book is 17th century Dutch art. But in order to broaden their understanding of Dutch art in the 17th century, the art world, writers and works of Europe, of course, go back in time to dealing with other themes and characters related to Dutch culture and art. The book mentions several episodes of 17th-century Dutch painters and art works that are not readily accessible in books published about Dutch art. The story of Frances Halth (seven), Rembrandt (8), and Fermir (12) being considered the three leading lords of the Dutch golden age is particularly remarkable.
