Yang Hee et al.: underground

Somewhere below that is the surface of the ground where we live, there are underground structures that stand still and remain empty. There were people who we might not have seen and realized, who had been taken by force, who were in the process of living, who died in suffering without a name, who have been buried in the Under Ground. The oysters that were long ago conceived and held alive from the attacks of natural environments and predators became the haven of oppression, exploitation and death, which were forced into the dust of history. It starts with the finesseki, Seoul, Busan, Simonoshecchi, Zysaki, Nasaki, Masaquo, Giju, Giorán, Giana, Kiran, Okinawa, and July 27, 1953, after the cease of the war in South Korea, Japan, and the victims of imperialism and domestic violence. Since '92, family director and fellow author Hukwwye Kwane, who created the documentary The Underworld, have photographed the documentary video and published it in a book. They look at the numerous underground structures around us that can easily pass, and they want to be able to see who, why, and what made them there, and then figure out what was going on there and what was left of the history below.
