It's a book that has about the same kind of detail that might be used as a textbook for college middle school.
I've put a lot of words in the back so I don't have to find them in the main text. So it's nice to be able to read the text without having to look up the dictionary and then sort of un-intuitively review it with an appendix.
The first volume of Focus is a Chinese-based reading textbook from the National Chinese.
