Thomas Mann, the most German writer who breathed and grew up in the bosom of German culture, opened his creative career in the late 19th century when naturalism formed the mainstream of German texts while a tendency toward anti-naturalism began to develop. He reached the height of German literature in the 20th century, on the side of overcoming German romanticism and the revival of German Humanism, as represented by Goethe. His creative work has also been a great achievement among modern writers of quality and quantity, especially the wording of endless languages that is truly hailed as the'spoken master of language'. The Nobel Prize for Literature won 1929.
