It would have been better if there were more stories told directly by the author, Inoue... but it is worth reading.
Be sure to prepare a basic level of resistance to withstand Hiromi Ito's eccentric questions. Describing the high schoolers of Slam Dunk, who are merely enjoying sports, as piles of corpses straight out of a military drama felt a bit off. I was supposed to draw out Inoue’s thoughts that people wanted to know through the interview, but it felt like I was just excitedly chattering away. I realized once again how important the quality of the questions is, and I plan to sell this book on the secondhand market right away.
I just finished reading the book. I felt a sense of discomfort the entire time I was reading, but I had a compulsion to finish every book I start, and I also didn't want to miss a single word from Inoue. Sigh. The failure of this book lies 100% with the interviewer, Ito Hiromi. What was the purpose of publishing this book?
