Sunhak Peace Prize Foundation: Mother of Refugee Education, Sakina Yakubi
Sakina Yakubi's Preemptive Peace Prize [mother of refugee education, Sakinah Yakuvi]. Dr. Sakina Yakubi, who grew up in Afghanistan and studied in the United States, has dedicated his life to helping restore their human dignity and help rebuild their nation for refugees who have suffered from their own wars. She is a public servant who has been trying to solve fundamentally the problems of refugees in the world, not just in future generations of Afghanistan, but in education. The Association for the Peace and Security has chosen to award a joint award for Afghan female education and Italian surgeon Dr. Gino Strada, in February 2017, as part of the pre-operation of the Second World War for solving the refugee crisis. In particular, Dr. Sakina Yakubi’s work in 1995, which established the Afghan Institute of Learning in the belief that education is the only solution for refugees' futures, has been highly valued for providing education and vocational training to 1.7 million refugees over a period of 21 years.
