Sun Jiang: Religious Associations and Power in Modern China
In Chinese history, the prefix ‘ secret ’ was followed as a habit to the two characters ‘ decisive. ’. As a result, the secret societies have been appointed as anti-constitutional. In fact, if you literally interpret the secret societies, the paper, the organization and the ceremony are unknown to the outside world. How, though, did people find out? In my view, "secret" is a metaphor. China's political and social ‘mixed ’ intention is to create this metaphor. So I want to define the concept of secret societies as a network or link between people and people within China. In other words, it's not abstract discourse, but people and organizations that they create and the activity that we try to figure out what these connections are. This is where the book is distinguished from traditional research. When discussing a deal with religion, the first issue we face is history. History is a real and narrative of what happened. The former is real history, and the latter is a history built by a narrative. So the latter may contain a variety of non-biological or even imaginary elements. In a series of cases involving religious and final acts, the report alone cannot explain all the problems. Because most of the data known has been entirely a reflection of the power of the authority, and the voice of the subject has been completely rejected. In some cases, the content of the authority was based on the convenience of the authorities.
