The typos and translation quality become truly disappointing as you progress toward the later sections. I would have overlooked simple errors, but there are many fatal ones. Curious as to why this was the case compared to the clean translation in the beginning, I read through it while compiling my own errata, eventually leading me to purchase the 5th edition separately to compare them. The 6th edition appears to be based on Yoon Sung-il's translation of the 5th edition, with only partial
Every detail is very thorough, and it is very helpful if you can read it carefully from beginning to end. Unlike other superficial introductory books, it aims for completeness. There aren't enough typos to hinder reading. I actually noticed many errors naturally as I read on. It might be difficult for absolute beginners, but for those like me who have studied C on their own, it is suitable and covers a wide range of topics. There seem to be quite a few typos in the latter part. In particular, there are some errors in the example code regarding function pointers after the section on structures. However, it is not enough to interfere with understanding the overall flow.
A truly excellent book for steadily building a foundation in programming, covering everything from the historical background of C to development standards.
It explains the C language in detail, so I think it will be very helpful if you read it consistently.
I confidently assert that this is the best book I have ever studied. Reading this will make you a Ph.D. in poetry. I highly recommend it to all engineering students.
The book in the school library was the 3rd edition. The translation was good and the explanations for the examples were helpful, so I decided to buy it. I'm afraid to read it again because there are so many pages, but... I'm giving it a try.
