It is a good book to keep by your side when reading the Gospel of John for the first time or when you want to read it deeply again. It guides you when the content of the Gospel feels daunting and makes even familiar material feel fresh.

Volume 1 of *Take Courage, I Have Overcome the World* covers John chapters 13 through 14, which include Jesus washing the disciples' feet and the first farewell address. The upcoming second volume, *Take Courage, I Have Overcome the World 2*, covers chapters 15 through 17, featuring the second and third farewell addresses as well as Jesus's farewell prayer.
