Seong Nak-heon: serial life
“Is there any reason to live when we’re all going to die anyway?” — Jin-ho, unemployed. “Since I was born, I might as well enjoy life by any means necessary.” — Eun-su, a nurse. “I’m living to find my mother.” — Gil-jun, a detective. We sometimes live imagining things that will never happen, things that must never happen, and things we still feel an impulse to do. Each of these actions has a reason of its own and is justified from the perspective of the person who acts. In an increasingly cold and unforgiving society, author Seong Nak-heon depicts people with different perspectives on life and their stories of survival. The lives of the three protagonists meet at a single point: serial murder, in which people are killed one after another, and the three intertwined characters. Discover Chain of Lives, where the three protagonists’ lives converge and unfold.
