Since chemistry involves observation and measurement, the first chapter defines a significant number of measurements, and then it's looking at a unit that is used for global commons and then turning one unit into another unit. In two sections we look at the kind of chemical bonds, the way you use a chemical formula to represent the type and number of atoms that make up things, the name of compounds. The three sections define atomic mass, and then we'll look at the process of counting the chemical reactions, how we calculate the mass of the product from the mass in the reaction, and how we determine the unknown time factor.
