Description

200 years of dinosaur research: the ‘Year of the Dinosaur.’ Exactly 200 years ago, in February 1824, British paleontologist Buckland gave the scientific name Megalosaurus, meaning ‘great lizard,’ to a large jawbone found in Jurassic strata. It was the first official name given to a dinosaur. Research into the animal's characteristics began after it was named, and in 1842 a new animal group, Dinosauria, was defined. This is a meaningful year: 200 years since dinosaurs were first given a name.

My dinosaur-loving child likes it so much. The pop-up book makes the dinosaurs feel even more lifelike.

You know the Borim Move Move Flap Book series, right? It's one of the best-known interactive books for young children and loved by many kids. My youngest really likes these science picture books, which make it easy and fun to learn a range of science facts through flaps, pop-ups, and other actions like pushing and pulling. The newest Move Move Flap Book is about dinosaurs, which my youngest loves. Any child who likes dinosaurs will be hooked right away! Dinosaurs appeared 230 million years ago

At first glance, I thought there was no way a child could dislike this. A must-love book for kids who like dinosaurs! I was amazed at how carefully and thoughtfully it was made, and now I'm curious about the other Move Move books, too. My son and daughter know tons about dinosaurs! Maybe because the book is interactive, they spent a long time opening, unfolding, and lifting things as they played with it. At first you notice the pictures, but as you keep looking, the words catch your eye, too. I

There was a time when I memorized dinosaur names, too. They all sounded alike, and some were incredibly long. When I saw my child reciting them more accurately than I could, I briefly thought, ‘Is my kid a genius?’ This dinosaur picture book is one boys are sure to love. Its clean illustrations and interesting flaps and pop-ups capture children's attention. It explains when dinosaurs first appeared, their kinds, why they went extinct, and museums where we can find traces of them, in enough

If you have a son, you know that every boy becomes a dinosaur expert around ages four or five. Parents become at least dinosaur graduates, if not experts, too! If you're going through that phase, I highly recommend this. It has useful information and a fun interactive format that keeps your eyes entertained and your hands busy; you can play for two hours with this one book. It's big and colorful, so it catches your eye. The information is quite substantial, and even I found it fascinating. I

I love the whole Move Move Flap Book series, and a flap-and-pop-up book about dinosaurs especially can't help being fun! Dinosaurs' sizes unfold vividly right before your eyes, and there are many different kinds. Since you can manipulate the book yourself, you can examine their features more closely, which is educational. As a mom, I don't know much about dinosaurs either, so it was hard to explain when my child asked questions. But the detailed explanations and more than 50 flaps and pop-ups

My sons love dinosaurs, so we have lots of dinosaur books at home. Of them, this one really lives up to its title: it has so many interactive parts that even my younger child stayed focused and read with great interest. The illustrations carefully show why dinosaurs went extinct, paleontologists excavating fossils, and what fossil researchers do in museums, making it a clever book that parents can explain easily through pictures and text. A strong recommendation from a dinosaur lover!
