Upon reading *After Defection, What Kind of Korean*, I first feel a deep sense of sorrow regarding the current reality of our country. People of the same ethnicity remain in sharp confrontation, showing no progress whatsoever despite the ever-changing times we live in today, all due to the artificial construct of division.
