I purchased this because I have a great interest in Korean folktales and legends. I was just a little hesitant at first, but this book is written in a style where it briefly explains the plot of each section in standard Korean, and then unfolds the story in what you might call colloquial language—specifically regional dialects—as if telling a story directly to the reader. The stories aren't too long, so it isn't overwhelming!
