Rural Development Administration et al.: Practical Guide to Native Bee Colony Management
Eastern species of bees are spreading extensively in Southeast Asia, as well as in North Asia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and other countries, such as Korea, China, and Japan. The domestic and Oriental species of bees are our own native bees, raised in the old days of the ancient period of the ages and for some 2,000 years. The native bee is sensitive to smell and has a great ability to use various wheat sources, and has the ability to produce honey easily with less energy input and less food consumption. It is also a good thing to be highly sensitive to temperature and environmental adaptability and to be resistant to all kinds of pests, such as bees' nips, white molasses. The native bee must be actively preserved as a valuable resource with our history and should also be cultivated as a basis for energy to feed our mountainous countryside, which is vulnerable to depopulation and old age. Although the recent outbreak of cystic decay has threatened the native bee industry, it is now necessary to seek systematic control of the brigade through modernization of breeding technology.
