Rolf Decott: A Brief History of the German Reformation

The book reviews the core of the 16th century Reformation and re-expresses its historical meaning and value. The starting point was the Reformation of Martin Luther, and the theological aspect was also considered. The book, in all likelihood, outlines the presumption of the Reformation, the political situation and its consequences with two central directions: reform and renewal. And in the last chapter of this book, the Council of Trent was able to describe the renewal of the Catholic Church. The Reformation started in Germany, but eventually all of Europe was connected to the entire Christian world of the West. The explosion of the Catholic Church has left millions of people on the stage of history crying for reform, and in many ways they have sought re-new Christianity. In this book, we're looking at the changes that the 16th century Reformation brought not only faith but also politics and society at the time, and briefly consider what it means for us today.
