There is not too much noise in the life of a man. I followed him all his life, and in one breath, the book was over. And yet, is it because the man's life isn't as different from yours? But it was as if I had met a book that was light but never light, and I felt comfortable all along.
Robert Seethaler: a lifetime
Robert Gestarler's novel, a lifetime of shit. The development of resorts in the mountains of Tyre, west of Austria, is a major background, followed almost a lifetime by the imaginary figure Andreas, who has been following closely. Almost everyone around us is fundamentally afraid of death, but they are greeted with a rather untapped welcome. In the end, he is not free from that attitude either. Death naturally blends in with the mountain environment, and gives a man almost a strange color of life, which is marked by loneliness.
