Philip Kobal's family, living in the southern Lingenberg village of Austria, is made up of his father, his German mother, his sister in a conflict with her brother, and his painter Philip. Born in 1919, he was blinded by eye disease and went to the Maribor Agricultural School in Slovenia at 17 years of age and received three years of training in fruit growing. For a man who has spoken German so far, Slovenian is not only a learning notebook but also a written language that is repeatedly used in letters and memos and is finally recognized in his native language. German is no longer sacred but becomes “one pain.". He returned home to farm in 1938 and then joined the Germans in World War II, 1939 and soon he was taken away and back into Slovenia. Then he disappeared with news that he had become a capric acid giant against Fascism.
