The Disney Pixar Inside Out 2 art book showcases the work of Pixar Animation Studios’ talented artists. It covers character designs, early concept art, storyboards, and the whole
I can’t say how long I’ve been waiting. I’m sure I’m not the only one who saw ‘Inside Out 1’ end with a preview of the sequel. We grew up watching Disney and Pixar, so we know their stories don’t end with the first installment. We waited a long time for the second movie, and lots of people asked when it would come out. I vividly remember when ‘Inside Out 2’ finally premiered after that long wait, capturing our anticipation and excitement like a refreshing drink of water. As expected, the second
I received the book from the publisher, but this review reflects my personal opinion. As the title suggests, this book is about the production and artwork of Inside Out 2, the sequel to the successful Inside Out, whose world turns our emotions into characters. The sequel again follows the stories unfolding at the emotion control headquarters inside Riley’s head. In the second film, Riley enters puberty at age 13. Unlike the first film, which featured only the original five emotions—Joy,
My favorite movie of the year may be Inside Out 2, which I watched with my child. Talking with my child about the many emotions in the film helped them express feelings more fully and gave us a chance to respect each other’s feelings more. When my child was little, they expressed feelings as they were; now, soon to enter fourth grade, they are learning to control their emotions and beginning to feel tension and anxiety. Inside Out 2 is precious to us because it shows these feelings as a natural
If you have seen the first Inside Out and want to experience directly the changes in Riley’s emotions, and the expressions and behavior that can shift dozens of times a day during puberty, the art book is a must. It includes behind-the-scenes stories from the film and accounts from the artists, so I recommend it to anyone interested in character design. The detailed depictions are well done. I received the book and wrote this review based on my personal opinion.
When I first saw Inside Out, I remember being amazed by the very idea of turning the many emotions people feel into characters and building a story around them. It was so original and fresh. So when the sequel came out, I naturally booked a ticket and saw it in theaters. Since it was built on the original concept, it did not have the same startling novelty as the first film, but Disney’s characteristically detailed storytelling still satisfied me. This book seems to extend that feeling. It is
I received a copy of the book from the publisher and wrote this review honestly. The shock I felt when I first saw Inside Out is still vivid. I was captivated by the imaginative idea of emotions as the main characters, and amid their antics I felt as though I were talking with the emotions inside me. We thought we knew how it ended: the last time we saw Riley, she had embraced all her emotions, realizing that Sadness mattered as much as Joy (from the book jacket). I thought that was the end.
[Sponsored by the publisher; written according to my personal opinion.] I enjoyed Inside Out 2 so much that I really wanted to see the art book. The characters must have come to life because so much effort went into them. This book gives us a little glimpse of that work. As I read, I kept thinking that Inside Out really is the best. The Inside Out 2 art book is a thick, full-color book with 160 pages. I liked being able to see how each character was made as I turned the pages. It also includes

Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out, about the many emotion characters inside a girl’s head, was a worldwide hit when the first film opened. The sequel, in which the girl returns at 13 with a wider range of new emotions as she enters puberty, was just as successful. Disney’s films have been entertaining and instructive not only for growing children but also for adults. Unlike the modern era’s predecessor, which placed excessive emphasis on reason alone, people today value emotions. The idea that the emotions inside me talk and argue as if they were people, then eventually help one another and guide me in the right direction, is ingenious and delightful. It also makes me reconsider how the emotional mechanisms within me work. (This is an honest, subjective
Pete Doctor et al.: Disney Pixar Inside Out 2 Art Book
Take a look at the production process and artwork behind Disney and Pixar’s 28th feature-length animated film, ‘Inside Out 2’! Riley has gone from an eleven-year-old girl to a thirteen-year-old entering adolescence, and her mind’s Emotion Control Center is in turmoil. Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear struggle to keep Riley happy. Then Anxiety, Embarrassment, Ennui, and Envy arrive. After repeated clashes with the new emotions, the original emotions are eventually thrown out of Headquarters. They set off on a dangerous adventure to return. ‘The Art of Disney Pixar’s Inside Out 2’ is an art book that gathers the production process of the sequel to Disney and Pixar’s ‘Inside Out,’ which captivated audiences worldwide with the unique world of the mind’s Emotion Control Center and the inventive personification of five human emotions. It includes everything from color scripts to behind-the-scenes scenes that did not appear in the film. With new emotions joining the cast, it contains a wider range of concept art and more of the production process than the first book. It also includes a foreword by Pete Docter, writer and director of ‘Inside Out,’ and an introduction by Kelsey Mann, director of ‘Inside Out 2.’ Explore the creators’ artistic process as they worked to make the movie more vivid, behind-the-scenes stories, and unpublished artwork in ‘The Art of Disney Pixar’s Inside Out 2.’
