Park Seok-hwan: Webtoon content platform

Webtoon is a form of digital cartoons, born in Korea. It appeared outside of the comic world in the early 21st century, when cartoons were clashing with industrialization and digitalization, but now it's grown in the form of a representative of Korean comics. The early webtoons were created and consumed at various points as a form of user-making content. The portals gathered them together, creating Webtoon Media and opening to stakeholders and so on, creating a Webtun platform with its own ecosystem. Here, we focused on Webtoon and Webtun's platform business to see the dynamics of Webtune's industrial ecosystems and to find ways to strengthen and improve them.
