Park Seok-don: Introduction to Social Welfare

I published the 'Socio-Mortiology' textbook in 2004 based on the lessons that were being taught in students. The book was written in collaboration with the students who were taking on the course of social welfare. And then, over and over again, we've adapted to the times. During this time, human life around the world was in chaos in the days of Corona Pandemon in 2019, and the country was in a state where it was necessary to change its perspective and expand its horizons. Add to this the world is now facing a time of rapid change called the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This change could be a convenient and enriching opportunity for mankind, at the same time leading to what is called the social crisis of social polarization. Meanwhile, the Korean Social Welfare and Education Council released its ‘ Social Welfare course ’ in November of 2004. In the Corona situation, universities have been established as closed lectures and, with the importance of the textbook again in the Wedcona era, reform of the Social Welfare manual has become a necessary task. The revision was begun in this situation, and of course the guide's 'director' was tried to reflect on the contents of the book. In other words, as a guide, “the goal is to get students to learn basic knowledge in the process of forming various theories and values associated with social welfare practices. The structure of the curriculum is centered on theories that understand human behavior in the development context of the entire lifetime, and knowledge that can be more specific in the social environment around us.
