I was surprised to learn that billiards, which I had always thought of as a neighborhood pastime, is being developed into a professional sport with a variety of events and marketing. This book made me look forward to seeing other sports become professionalized too, not just billiards!
This book sparked my interest in billiards and taught me things about the sport I’d never known before. Players like Cha Yu-ram, known for her beauty, Kim Ga-young, and Sruong, the Cambodian player, had all seemed fascinating to me. Reading about billiards gradually becoming more popular and developing into a professional sport made me realize how South Korea has become a billiards powerhouse, much like it has in esports. I’m even more interested in billiards now, and I’m thinking I might as
PBA reimagined billiards and gave many people new opportunities. I thought it would be virtually impossible, but this is a story of a new challenge that gave some people a new dream and brought excitement to people who already loved billiards. I recommend it to anyone seeking challenge and achievement.
I only recently started playing billiards, but even as a beginner, I found this book easy and fun to read. I enjoyed learning so much and reading all the interesting stories!
I bought this book after reading the author's blog. It's rare to find an expert with such insight into the many sports in Korea. I bought it because I was curious about the author's writing, not because I was especially interested in billiards. Although billiards is the subject, the book offers many ways to think about sports, everyday life, and lifestyle. I recommend it to anyone interested in marketing, billiards, or personal growth. 👍
I bought this book because I've always been interested in sports marketing. I was surprised to learn that billiards could need so much sports marketing, contrary to what I expected. After reading the various examples, I thought they could be applied to other sports as well. The content is good, so I've been passing it around to my coworkers, and everyone's making a fuss about how I recommended such a great book. If you're interested in billiards or sports marketing, be sure to buy and read it.
When did it start? Whenever I caught a billiards match on TV or saw billiards players on social media, I felt a little unfamiliarity and excitement. It looked quite different from the game I knew. I found the answer in this book: billiards underwent a major transformation with the times. It launched as Korea’s sixth professional sport, and the book details everything from tournament formats—from the round of 128 through the final—to shoot-outs, prize money, dress codes, and PBA Girls, across
I was surprised to see that billiards could be transformed like this. I applaud the author for their creative approach and dedication to today's professional billiards. The book offers practical insights into creating something from nothing, making it very worthwhile to read!
Billiards has been making a comeback lately, so this book is perfectly timed. It fits comfortably in your hands, and the photos and explanations of terms throughout make it an easy read. It seems like it would be especially fun for billiards fans, not just marketers.

Park Jae-min: Billiards that doesn't exist in the world
Billiards Like No Other offers a fresh perspective on marketing strategy and a glimpse of new business opportunities through examples from professional billiards. It tells the story of how professional billiards was introduced and developed in Korea, and can help people who dream of new challenges and adventures. In particular, it explains that professional billiards has come this far by focusing on growth rather than success, and on the process rather than the outcome, under the concept of billiards like no other. Just as an unending desire for something new and unprecedented has driven professional billiards forward, this book hopes that everyone who reads it will keep exploring for something that does not yet exist.
