Oliver R. Pierson was a medical missionary for the North Presbyterian Church 130 years ago. Pierson resumed his medical education in the senior district of the Korean government and later established a foundation for western Korean medicine that was divided into the first modern hospital in Korea, the Sebrands Hospital and Medical School. Especially after the release of seven first Korean licensed doctors in '30, the effort was made to bring Sébrands together in a coalition in '73 and to be promoted to a special school in 1917. Meanwhile, when various religious missionaries agreed to set up a comprehensive university in Seoul, it was natural that already Pierson had a big role in having rich experience as a professor of medicine and drug abuse at the University of Toronto. When the United Christian College was approved by Governor Chosununungerica, 1917, he took office as head of the First School of State and joined the General Medical College in Sébrands for 18 years, working as a major executive in the Korean higher education that I had taken against higher education.
