English interviews are bound to be a burden for aspiring flight attendants, especially those preparing for foreign airlines. As someone who studied domestically, I was particularly at a loss as to how to prepare, but this was a great help in setting a direction for my English interview preparation. I highly recommend it!
I am a 23-year-old job seeker preparing to become a flight attendant for a foreign airline. Trying to prepare on my own felt overwhelming, and I had no idea where to start, but this book was incredibly helpful!! I received an invitation email from a foreign airline and was at a loss as to how to prepare for the remaining time leading up to the interview, but this was a great help. Flight attendants—the "flowers of the sky," a profession that allows one to travel the world as if coming and going from their own home! I have met many friends who dream of becoming flight attendants, such an incredibly attractive career. Without exception, they ask me, "How did you become a flight attendant?" The answer to this question is very simple: it is because I passed the English interview. I was not born with the qualities of a flight attendant, nor did I possess exceptional English skills. Nor did I have impressive credentials. The single reason I was able to become a flight attendant was that I confidently passed the English interview. In other words, the English interview is the first and most important gateway to becoming a flight attendant. Many people think the English interview is difficult, but this is not true at all. I dare say that improving English skills themselves is several times harder than the interview. This is because English interview skills can be improved through practice. Furthermore, interviewers evaluate applicants based on their attitude and approach to the interview, rather than their English proficiency. I have always felt a sense of pity watching applicants start with a heavy burden during the preparation process and ultimately fail, unable to showcase their strengths and charms during the interview. Furthermore, seeing students who viewed English interviews merely as a proficiency test and crafted answers using difficult and stiff sentences rather than relatable expressions, I realized how important it is to change their mindset regarding English interviews. I wanted to let them know that English interviews are easier and more fun than they think.
