Description

Park Hee-Sam, author of the book, is one of the leading scholars in the classical Korean literature, and for nearly 40 years taught Korean classical literature in college. In fact, Korean classical literature is usually boring and boring, so it's a subject to be avoided. Why do students recognize classical Korean literature so much? Perhaps because of the fact that throughout the middle and high school years, and even in college, we taught classical Korean literature primarily for knowledge and fact. So you cannot expect to be moved by the heart of Korean classical literature. But classical Korean literature is not such a science. Korean classical literature is profound, intense, and full of meaningful and moving content. The problem is the eye and the way you read it. There is no eye, there is no way to read and it is attached to a method of dictation that is dull and unintelligible. The result is a breakdown of the private and mental content of Korean classical literature. Korean classical literature is a history of classical Korean literature. Although classical Korean literature is difficult and uninteresting, classical literature may be a source of death. Of course, it can be boring to have a Korean classical literary historian fill the whole area with knowledge and fact. But when we abandon those approaches and look at the joys and anguishs of the literary people, their ideals and dreams and frustrations, their aspirations, their values that they have not given up in a hard life, they appear to us in a completely different way. If I turn my eyes to the lives of people in literature, I find that Korean classical literature is connected to my life now and is gaining its present meaning.

I feel the extent and depth of my 40-year study by Professor Park Ch’s. Writing for students, scholars, and scholars, more important to ordinary people than reading for the rest of the world.
