I was overwhelmed by the thought of rebranding the business I already run, so I picked up this book. The part explaining how to develop my own idea and what makes a good idea was the most memorable and helpful. It felt like getting objective feedback. It will be good for people already running a business, but especially helpful for those who want to start one and need a framework. BookProvided

It also offers ways to make use of government support programs, which seems especially helpful for aspiring entrepreneurs!

I even wish I had found it earlier so I could have prepared sooner. With new confidence that I can do it, plus the practical know-how, I decided to get started! It is helping me so much.

I'm focused on raising my child right now, but I read this while wondering whether getting a job is the only answer when my child gets a little older and I start preparing for my own life. I've worked in an office and tried something like starting a business, so many lines really resonated with me. I'll keep close to my heart the idea that building a business is like building a castle from experiences of failure. This book makes me want to take on the challenge of starting a business.
I picked this up because I'm very interested in starting a business! It was helpful not only for its business advice but also for the many good ideas about attitude and mindset. I stayed focused while reading, and learning about types of businesses I hadn't known before made me feel as if I'd discovered a whole new world. The book is packed with useful content, so I'm planning to give it to my older sister, who's married. 😊
Park Eun-jeong: Mom Startup
Starting a business does not have to begin with something grand. In college, the author used money earned from part-time jobs to buy a sewing machine and began by selling bags she made herself at flea markets. Later, she opened a blog on Naver, became an influencer with posts about bag-making and her eco-bag philosophy, and after college worked as a designer for an outdoor brand at a design company. While working, she began studying eco-design in graduate school and prepared to attend fashion school in the UK. But the financial crisis that began in the United States drove exchange rates up and derailed her plans. Instead, she chose a way to earn money while continuing to study, taking a job at a U.S. bag-design company and designing bags for export to South America. After returning to Korea, she tried starting a business for a second time. Her idea was an environmentally friendly bag based on upcycling, or upgrading and recycling. The business flourished as public awareness of the environment grew. But operational mistakes brought her to the brink of bankruptcy. After a period of despair, including a moment when she wanted everything to end, she came to see failure as a chance to rise again, not the end, and succeeded in rebuilding. Through this experience, she discovered a formula for starting a business, especially strategies and strengths specific to women entrepreneurs. She realized that being a woman and a mother could be turned into advantages. Today she runs an environmental design business and also provides consulting and education to support women entrepreneurs.
