Park Chung-hee: Strolling through ancient Chinese cities

The book was written with six Chinese altitudes: Beijing, Sian, Jing, Nanking, Kai Feng, Hangau and Liang. The process and strategy of re-organizing and re-inventing urban identity through cultural policy and cultural industry is analyzed by urban policies, by the re-structuring of space, history restoration, media and urban culture. In the depths of these cities, we read of recurrent and repeated cultural memory and place-resistant identity in a network of highly cultural multiples, hybrids.
